RP Stuff
So it's, uh, been half a year since I've posted to this journal. I really need to brush up my journaling skills. 8Db
Been pretty busy these past few months; still working on a personal project (a translation-slash-playthrough of Sakura Wars), because 1) it's a series that needs more love, 2) it's easy to MST3k, and 3) I want to prove to myself that I actually have the hot blood and guts to finish SOMETHING, fanfic or otherwise.
I'd dropped most of my alts at GateMUSH for various reasons (sorry, Milfie! Vanilla! Forte! ;o; ) and came pretty close to idling out of it altogether. If I ever disappeared from Gate, though, I don't think I'd be able to hit up any other MUSH; Gate's got a great atmosphere and great players, and it's grown on me too much for me to let it go.
A-anyways, I got back into the groove with Detritus and, just recently, Cait Sith. The troll's been loads of fun. Sure, his fighting style is "punch fings, reload Piecemaker, shoot fings," but that's given me the freedom to focus on questions like "how does a 500-pound load of rocks keep up with mounted calvary?" and so on, even though that's the stuff that Serious-Atmosphere-Ruiners are made of. XD; Regardless... man oh man was the Lucavi TP fun.
I'd played Cait Sith at Gate once before, and I leapt at the chance to play him again (when did the FFVII cast get so big!?). He was one of the first characters I'd ever played, ever, and I'm learning something new about the cat and the goatee behind the cat every day. I don't think I'll ever run out of enthusiasm for him.
Getting Cait integrated into the rest of the FFVII cast will be... interesting. God knows how he'll join the IPA with Another ShinRa already there. Also, since Cait Sith is from the same plane and time period as Aerith, he's still a ShinRa spy, through and through. And since most of the cast is post-FFVII, they'll certainly KNOW that he isn't to be trusted. Reeve's starting to care about his friends in AVALANCHE, but he's still tied down by his loyalty to ShinRa. On the other hand, Red XIII let slip the fact that in the future, Midgar is doomed, so...
tl;dr WAHAHAHAHA CANON GO BOOM
