Cripes, it's been a while since I posted.
Well, things are looking up now- I actually have solid deadlines on my final projects (a week or two into May, all of them), which is a vast relief when compared to the original info that we had (some vague, dreaded day near the end of April). Now I actually have some breathing room, just as long as I don't put everything off to the last minute.
Not much else to say-- in terms of anime, Lucky Star, despite having the most downright frenetic OP this season ("Motteke! Sailor Fuku", aka "I BUY SAUSAGE"), is turning out to be so-so. I'm waiting for (a good sub of) the second ep before making any snap judgments. Adorable character designs, though.
Manabi Straight, despite having an artstyle that screams "PEDOFARE" (they're high schoolers?!), is nothing short of awesome- and at times, surprisingly serious. Also adorable, and this is probably one of the few "takes place XX years after present day" series that doesn't involve giant forking robots.
Haven't had much time to RP, which is very saddening.
At Gate, well.
Mint Blancmanche in particular I've been neglecting; I fear that I'm losing my touch AND my drive with the corporate princess, alongside the worry that I've borked up essential parts of what makes Mint Mint.
Granted, it may just be that I'm rusty (it's been a while since I've really played her), so. Also, my cast, as full as it is, is f'in metal. The problem might just be lack of actually going out and doing stuff-- and I most definitely need to get back into Black Sheep affairs.
Yuki Nagato... can be a little hard to get into scenes, given that she specializes in laying low and supporting everyone from the back row. Need to get more Haruhiism scenes going, tho', because she's still fun as hell to play (and yes, this applies both to Gate and YAH).
I want to get a new alt into play, but I'm honestly split as to who I should drop.
Life hasn't been clicking much at all, but there's still potential for some... interesting... events if I can find a group for him to join. It's just that he's ridiculously straight-laced, and once you take the evolution out of Gaia's Champion, well...
Segata Sanshiro is awesome and made of win, but he's more or less a one-track pony that judo-flips people until they either start playing the Sega Saturn or explode. Not much potential for growth there.
The reason I'm dead-set on dropping someone is simply this: I really want to play a Warcraft-style goblin Tinker. I'd been able to play Boush once before at Multitheme, and I really enjoyed what I could do with him-- all goblins are mecha fanboys at heart, they're completely insane, and they're permanently wired on some sort of sugar-crack boost. Given the sheer number of items that he can screw around with, AND the potential for growth on Gate... it feels like there's a lot for Boush to do.
As for other places... well, I really want to get back into Videoland at some point in time, with an alt or two so that I don't overload myself like I did before. I need to bring The Viruses back, and a certain someone has expressed interest in apping from Ar Tonelico, which is a siren call that I cannot possibly refuse. I just... need to beat said Ar Tonelico first.
